Rescue Center

RescueCenter.org is located in beautiful Tilaran, Costa Rica. It borders Lake Arenal and is surrounded by three of the country’s largest volcanoes. The facility sit on a 100-acre farm whose beauty is only surpassed by the passionate work being done to save the country's injured wildlife.

CEO Vanessa Lizano started the project in 2014 after her animal sanctuary in Limon, Costa Rica was shut down by the government to allow APM terminals to build a shipping port.  After leaving Limon and taking some time off for some much needed rest Vanessa is back and doing what she does best - saving wildlife.

Rescuecenter.org receives no government funding and the project is financed completely by individual donors and volunteers who believe in Vanessa's mission. It is the perfect destination for volunteers and interns from around the world who feel that their hard work and effort can make a difference in the lives of these precious animals.
